Is It a Dental Emergency?
It isn’t always obvious when a dental problem is serious enough to see someone right away. As a general rule, pain that keeps you up, swelling in your gums or face, bleeding that won’t settle, or a tooth that has cracked or come loose should be checked quickly. Waiting often means a bigger problem and a bigger bill.
If you’re unsure, call us. Our team at S Loop West can help you decide whether you need to come in now. Your $89 emergency exam is a simple way to get answers.

Emergency Dentist Frequently Asked Questions
What counts as a dental emergency?
Can I walk into the S Loop West office without an appointment?
Yes. Walk-ins are welcome, and we’ll do our best to see you the same day. Calling ahead or booking online can shorten your wait.
What does the $89 emergency exam include, and what happens after?
The exam lets our dentist examine the problem and explain what’s causing it. If you need treatment, we’ll go over the recommended steps and costs with you before we begin, so there are no surprises.
What should I do while I wait to be seen?
Rinse gently with warm water, and use a cold compress on the outside of your cheek if it’s swollen. If a tooth has been knocked out, hold it by the crown (not the root), keep it moist in milk, and get to us as soon as possible. Avoid putting aspirin directly on your gums.
Do you accept insurance or offer payment options?
We work with many dental insurance plans and offer financing options. Use the insurance checker on this page, or call the office and we’ll look into your coverage.
